"Left Behind" is the quest where your character is left in the caves underneath Alsorna at the very beginning of the game (where you're instructed in magic and kill the necris). For some reason, it's possible to get the skill book and air card, create the ice-spell, kill the demon and complete the quest without having this quest removed from your quest book. It isn't something you need to go do. If you're past the intro, you've already completed it. Just ignore it and move on.
It doesn't happen every time, but I've had it occur to me. I just loaded a previous game (I had just left the caves when I noticed it) and tried again. It didn't happen the second time. If you're well past that section, it isn't worth the trouble needed to eliminate it from the quest book.

SLAM YOUR FACE ON THE KEYBOARD: About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him-and I didn't know how potent that part might be-that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
For future reference, if you've already gotten out of the cave, then the quest in your logbook should already have been removed. There is apparently some odd set of circumstances which nobody has been able to positively identify, which CAN cause the quest to remain in your quest book even after you leave.
If this happens, it is absolutely safe to ignore the quest. There are no unpleasant consequences to leaving it in the quest book. It will not adversely affect your game in any way. If you're annoyed by seeing it in the quest book, that's the only consequence you need to concern yourself with, and while it IS possible to eliminate it, it requires diving into the TwoWorldsII.qtx file, finding the correct quest ID number, and using a console command to officially "close" it.
And no, I don't remember what the console command is. In case someone wishes to track down the quest and remove it manually, the following quest IDs all refer to "Left Behind". As it's not an error I can repeat reliably, I have no way to tell which one is left in the quest book, but any one of the following quests MAY be the culprit:
Q_368, Q_370, Q_371, Q_373, Q_381, Q_390, and Q_398
