Re: TopWare Clarify Game Delay in Southpeak Territories.
I wish we could have Topware would publish the games in all regions. They show tha they are passionate about the game and they should be. Reality Pump has put alot of work into this game and it deserves some praise and glory.
Re: TopWare Clarify Game Delay in Southpeak Territories.
Strange thing is Topware/Zuxxez have a series of offices throught the states so I can't see why they had to use another company to distribute, unless there is some obscure American law that forces them to use a US company for that purpose.
Re: TopWare Clarify Game Delay in Southpeak Territories.
If that's true that's just suckish.

Re: TopWare Clarify Game Delay in Southpeak Territories.
Maybe the offices are there just to keep the US servers in, it would be pointless having dedicated US servers held in Germany the lag would be the same as using European servers, but if you have premises and staff (obviously) then it's only a short hop to organising distribution.
Re: TopWare Clarify Game Delay in Southpeak Territories.
Putting aside for a minute the fact that Southpeak blatantly lied about the reasoning behind the delay, is anybody else a little worried about their actual reason for the delay?
I mean these guys Published the first game too and they know that game was ***** everybody does. Maybe, just maybe, the reason that they're hesitant to release the TW2 in October (which, let's be honest, is a month packed full of unbelieveably average games. None of them are amazing) is because they genuinely believe that it is also shit.
Their lack of confidence is hardly reassuring. Espcially when they have experience with the previous game and know how bad it was. How good can this game be when the publisher is scared that it can't complete with the likes of Fallout: New Vegas (which again for the sake of honesty, is a glorified Fallout 3 expansion)?

Its pretty natural in the games industry to be honest.
Yes but its not usually the case that the game is finished and ready for retail yet still delayed on account of marketing.
If the game was unfinished or broken in places I and many others could tolerate it but the fact the decision was made purely for marketing reasons and not for the actual benefit of the consumer is an insult to the game's target market.
Hell I wouldn't even be as angry about this if the UK version wasn't coming three months later than the rest of Europe. I live in the same bloody continent, why should I have to wait on account of cowardice and poor business practice?

Well we already know Southpole is a load of crap, so I'm willing to think that the game isn't actually a piece of tar it's probably really good, it's just season reruns of dumb and dumber at the southpole.
AW: TopWare Clarify Game Delay in Southpeak Territories.
Only if you import it from continental Europe which is of course not recommended if you don't have a PAL 360 and a PAL TV set... that's what I wanted to say with my original post.
