TopWare Clarify Game Delay in Southpeak Territories.
Despite what Southpeak had said and implied in their Note to Two Worlds II Fans on their Facebook.
James Seaman (TopWare) has stepped in to clear up confusion and speculation on why it was delayed!
The Reason for the delay was merely a Marketing Decision, since the holiday season is exceptionally crowded with other games.
Southpeak want to take the safe route.
""Truth be told, fans only have so much time to spend playing these content-rich games, and there were concerns our title could potentially be lost in the fanfare," TopWare managing director James Seaman said in a statement. "Our publishing partner SouthPeak, to their credit, has acknowledged this fact and made an adjustment, postponing their launch of Two Worlds II into early 2011."
The game is actually finished for all Regions, meaning all Bug Testing and Localization is completed and was completed by Mid-September.Southpeak Territories will not get the Superior Version, no extra time is being spent on the version their shipping.
If there was a Patch to be released, it may make the US Retail Disc, that would be the only difference.
At the moment, RP are working on Post Launch support and Possible Additional Content.
"The TopWare statement went on to call SouthPeak's assertion that the game wasn't finished "factually incorrect." All production, bug testing, and localization work was finished in mid-September, the company said, adding that this year's and next year's Two Worlds II launches will contain the same content (except for patches or updates released in the interim, which could make it onto the 2011 retail launch disc). Instead of working to finish up the core Two Worlds II game, Reality Pump is instead readying its post-launch support and downloadable content plans. "

I would have had a small measure of respect for southpole if they had told the truth, but they didn't and after this game if their deals with rp go south they will have no sympathy from me.

Wait, so I live in the US. Will it still be out on October 5, or will it be out next year? I need to know before October 5 because that's when I will buy it! (if it's even going to be out!)

If you want to go for the PC version then you can get it from Amazon.de, the release is to be the 21st October so allowing for postal times to the US you should get it around the 26th, I'm in the UK and my copy should be arriving on 22nd or 23rd. Thats a whole lot better than waiting until January.

Damage limitation, they have been caught out in a bare faced lie which is never good in the buisiness world, and are hoping that late-comers to the page won't find out about their screw-up. The fact that the lies have been copied and pasted elsewhere is beyond their control. It will definately hit their profits though as there is so much discussion related to their actions going on across the world.

I smell another lawsuit, American customers should sue South Peak under the ground and if the consumers don't do it, hopefully Reality Pump will.
The fact the game is finished and is being delayed purely for marketing purposes is an insult to those who made the game and an insult to those who want to buy it.
South Peak have just screwed themselves massively via their actions and have proven themselves to be scheming, conniving and untrustworthy, if any other game developer is ever unfortunate enough to be partnered with them after this then they have my sympathy.

Sorry, but they wouldn't have mine, unless they are already locked into a contract with them. Considering the pending lawsuits and now this debarcle any developer going into a new contract with this shower of sh*t needs to have their head read!
