In multiplayer you get to create a completely new character! Races ra[n]ge from human, half-orc, half-dwarf to elf, dark elf etc. + you can also play as a female .
To buy your own Village you have to earn some cash first in Adventure mode. Building up a Village is not easy though because it require[s] a lot of money. If you got friends each of you can build up a different Village. One will invest in producing bombs and traps, another in advanced melee weapons, another in powerful gems that can boost your equipment... Believe me there are a lot of possibilities there.
Apart from your Village "character"/direction you can visit it whenever you like and just "Free roam" or help its inhabitants with their problems e.g.by killing a pack of wolves.
Maybe I put it wrong by saying that you can "complete" it within 10 h... Villige mode is actually endless. What I meant is that if you finish Adventure mode you are able (within 10h of farming) to earn enough cash to cover all building sites within your Village.
One of fun features in Village mode is playing some dice games like poker for up to four players . You get to bet money on it, kick the table etc. Plus this dice table features the most detailed static mesh in the game so its really nice to look at.
Excellent, I've been waiting for more information about both Village Mode and Multiplayer. Quite a nice set of different races and the village features seem to be just the way I hoped they would be.

Seems like 'Adventure Mode' has been linked with 'Village Mode'.
Which in a way creates more of an incentive to play the other modes.
Instead of sticking to one mode.
Well, you can't share a single Village AFAIK.
But I'm sure, you could create a little group, giving each person something to specialize in and then coming to together to trade and what not...

I just hope that half-orc race is not just a human model with pointy ears.
Have no fear friend, that's what the elves look like.

SLAM YOUR FACE ON THE KEYBOARD: About three things I was absolutely positive. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him-and I didn't know how potent that part might be-that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

A good game, takes a bit of time to get used to it but well worth the effort. I would be interesting if it were possible to develop a mod/dlc for TW2 where you could play a whole spectrum of different card games, they appear to have done it with the craft system and magic so why not expand other in-game options.
It would certainly add a much greater social aspect to the game, I for one will definitely be playing it with other adventurers between quests.
I wonder if we'll be able to gamble with the in-game currency, it'd add an edge to every card game if you could actually lose a large amount of gold if you're not careful.
I also hope they include the instrument playing minigame in the Village Mode as well, seems like a shame to have it restricted to singleplayer.
