Stone Dragons

I have a very advanced warrior character with two sword each delivering approx 14k of slashing damage and another 10k of lightning and cold respectively with an extremely high vitality rating over 500. i ran across two stone dragons south of the Gon and engaged, and nearly died excpt for my hasty retreat to the Osgoloth teleporter with them in hot pursuit. I caused almost no damage at all, upon my return i used 7 cards of reflection armour and 5 spell boosters and proceeded into close combat , after approximately 4-5 minutes of comabt the dragon eventually went down. Now I know that the relected damage is what produced the kill but does any one know a more effective killing method because if I ahd to deal with more than one Dragon at a time I'd would have been toast.

Re: Stone Dragons

A bow with 9000 total damage and 1700 spirit damage with the piercing skill turned on- about ~10 shots takes out one. Without piercing (by accident) it took me probably 20+ shots. I didn't count - I just ran around for ten minutes until I figured it out.

So I assume piercing is good and spirit damage is also very important.

Since I also was carrying a bow with 48k of piercing damage and 16k of Fire damage it must be the Spirit damage that does it.

Re: Stone Dragons

They are probably immune to lightning. Because I used a single blade with like 15k of slashing and 6k of spirit and it takes them down pretty easily. If I add a rust armor spell (this is a REALLY useful spell against enemies like golems, giants, dragons, etc. etc.) it takes them down even more quickly. If I add a Strength of God it kills them in just a few hits.

Re: Stone Dragons

Sorry for the noob question, but you're not talking about the dragons around Gor Gammar that look like they're made of boulders are you--the lava dragons?

They dropped like flies with slashing/cold.

Use spiritdamnage against stone- and magmadragons and possibly blunt.Magic hammer is a spell doing very well against them too: it is a rapidfire proiectile doing blunt- and spiritdamnage and is so fast they usually never get in a hit before they die.

Re: Stone Dragons

I know this topic is pretty much forgotten but i just got the game and have found that an easy way to take out the various dragons is with a trap. i used a 20s trap and a 500-800 bludgeon dmg club with around 1k cold dmg to take em out. only took 2 uses of the trap and they don't attack when they're stuck!
