Two World Wish list.

I haven't seen a thread like this so I thought I would start one. I don't know if the developers from TW look at this or not but if they do it's seems to me that even past the obvious bugs there are some simple things they could add to made this a fun game into a great game.

Single player is fun again not going into the obvious bugs in the game they are already well documented by now.

But is it me or does it seem like MP was jut kind of an afterthought even though it seemed like there marketing campaign really went all out to to say that it was going to have a great MP mode.

I haven't tried the PVP stuff mostly cause I don't want to start another character for one.

But for me here is the list if things that could be added to MP to make this a great game.
1) More content. I mean map wise there are tons of items in the game that is great. But there is not a single dungeon that I can find in MP any where very disappointing.
2) Add more quests there appears to be about 15 set quests that they tweak a bit and just put in random places. Add in some multi stage quests.
3) Next and not sure how to say this but am I the only one who fights his way to a tower runs up the steps and here is nothing there. That would be the perfect place to go for a dungeon. you have this great cool looking tower but you can't go in it.
4) this is a small one but OK there are tons of wolves through out the game couldn't you make them more custom to there surroundings I mean grey wolves are up in the snow down in the dessert in the plains dang they are every where. Can't you have like arctic wolves in the snow and whats up with wolves on the beach. It would be cool to have more custom monsters designed around the environments. A group of arctic type monsters that randomly get put in the snow areas and the sea for beaches. How about some water monsters that climb out of the water.
It would also be cooler if there were more mounts just cause they are cool and if you could take them from map to map. In the single player there are quests for more advanced mounts come on add that into MP. I like tht you can use mounts to store stuff it's a good way to have a suddo bank and that you can't pick pocket them.

They did so many great things in SP mode with Quests and what not it's to bad they didn't put have of that much stuff in MP.

Am I the only person who wants this stuff? Again I just wanted to see wish lists stuff not bugs so much.

Exactly the SP is great but the thing that was really suppose to set this apart form oblvion was the MP. It just seems wierd how week it is. It really seems like it was more of an after thought as opposed to one of the main things to set it apart from all the other RPG's on the 360 out there.

It doesn't even seem like it would have taken that much longer to add it better quests dungeons and such. The single player may be Oblvion on steroids but the MP is more like Diablo lol fun for fight but it gets old after a while.

Ya I was hoping the MP would be more like WOW tons of quests big maps you and a few buddies could jump in and play with out all the crap that comes along with most MMO's but it really hasn't lived up to it. Hopefully after they release the bug fixes maybe they will do a content upgrade and put some of that in. I understand they had a small budget and not a ton of developers but I really wish they would have taken a few more months and finished it.

Just my opinion I still like the SP but the MP kinda blows.

Re: Two World Wish list.

I read many bad reviews and things like this all over the place, and the only thing I can keep saying is, hey, its there first shot at it, the first game like this they have released. There are rumors of a sequel and it turning into a franchise due to sales, just like elder scrolls and Gothic, and if that happens bet on the next one being way better.

I love this game, and granted there are things wrong and things I want to see fixed, but I am already awaiting the next one.

Notice I didn't say I didn't like the game SP is great it really doesn't have a lot of problems I have loved playing it.
But MP is just very weak if they would have put half the things they did in SP in MP it would have been great.
This isn't a thread bashing them. I have been one of there biggest defender's I am glad I bought I bought one for a friend and my brother as well.
Great game.
I am just hoping that after they release the bug patch they release a couple of content patches.
The things it would take to make MP a great game are pretty small and I think not to hard to do.
Honestly once you get about to level 15 in MP its like diablo with better graphics the quests don't serve a purpose any more except to make money they aren't really that fun and the maps are kind of boring.

But again this isn't a bash SP is great. And if you like the diablo just go and fight stuff then MP will prob be great for you when they fix the current bugs.

Once you hit level 35 or so there really isn't anything in any of the maps you can solo pretty easily so there is not really a huge point going past that.

I am hoping although I doubt it will happen that they let the custom stuff that people build with the SDK that they make some of that down loadable to the 360 but I am betting they wont.
I think SP gets a 8 out of 10 really a great job for a firs try but even for a first try MP really gets a 2 of of 10 when they fix the current bugs prob 5 out of 10. I would give it an 8 out of 10 if they could add some more content.

Re: Two World Wish list.

The MP is okay for me, but the SP gameplay really interests me more. My suggestions?
-Remove damage caps for melee/spells
-Make it easier for people to add new spells, or get an oblivion-style spellmaker in the game
-Make it easier for people to add new skills :p
-Improve performance just a bit

You can actually scrap the middle two if you would allow people to buff all skills above 10 (not just the magic skills).

Edit:
-Have bandits, orcs, ogres respawn after a while.

Re: Two World Wish list.

I wish that the game had better AI. What I mean by that is to make a script that would allow the
monsters to utilize simple strategy to defeat the player. This is what I thought of:

* Wolves hunt in packs, so why not use a script that would allow the wolves to attempt of surrounding player character from all sides instead of being all bunched up on on top of another. This also should be utilized by all the rest of monsters and NPC's in the game.

*The bandits, orks, gnomes every thing thats on two legs and hunts in bands. Why not utilize strategies depending on weapons they are using. Say I attack on the horse back and there are bandits equipped with halbards or pikes, and swords etc. Since I'm on horse back let the guys with pikes attack first while the rest keeps back waiting for me being knocked off the horse. If I'm on foot why not the guys with short weapons go first at me and the rest tries to flank me or attack from behind.

*What annoys me is that the AI keeps following me even tho its being attacked by the assisting me creature. So what I would like to see is that whenever engaged the AI fights back instead following the player character around and not paying any attention to the other opponent. That would sort of take some load off the shoulders and help implementing some small tactics of selecting the strongest enemy or fighting in teams.

For now I think that would be it. If I come up with some thing else I'll sure post it here...

I like the ideas you said but I would also like to see skills atrophy with out use. Being able to be all powerfull in everything like oblvion is kind of lame.
Especially in MP. I would like to see it be more like WOW in that reguard.

I totally agree to be honest i have never seen an RPG tht does that Oblvion is just as dumb in there AI.

Re: Two World Wish list.

About buffing skills above 10*

You can already do so with some skills, but, if you developer or modder guys are willing to hear me out and to try and work out this plan, here's what I mean in detail:

Lets take a few skills as examples.

Multishot level 10:
5 arrows with around 35-40% accuracy depending on dexterity right?
Well then you could just keep going:

Code:
Level 11:
42%

Level 12:
42% 6 arrows

Level 13:
45%

Level 14:
45% 7 arrows

Level 15:
47%

Level 16:
47% 8 arrows

Level 17:
49%

Level 17:
49% 9 arrows

Level 18:
50%

Level 19:
55%

Level 20:
60% 10 arrows
Ofcourse the percentage would be lower or higher depending on your dexterity. To make this more like a 'specialization' you could make each level cost 2 skillpoints, since at level 10 I can see how this can become a devastating power. My bow does around 1.5K damage with every fully charged shot at about level 33, multiplying that to 15.000 damage may not seem much when put in perspective but 15.000 damage evenly spread out to multiple parties with no losses in mana/hp seems like a pretty nice thing to be able to do.

Same goes for things like:

Code:
Defensive Combat:

Level 10:
I haven't checked, but lets say level 10 amounts to 500% defense and an X critical hit multiplier...

Level 11:
Bonus of 10% of your dexterity to defense percentage upped.

Level 12:
Bonus of 10% of your dexterity to defense percentage upped.

Level 13:
etc. etc.
The possibilities are virtually endless and are limited to only the time and will that the developers have, and the skills that the modders have.
One thing I'd like to see is having all the skills be related to your stats in some way, where the bonus to the damage/effect/duration you get is directly related to how big your stats are.

Code:
Magic skills:
Willpower (10% of willpower added to damage of spells every level for example)
Code:
Strong hand, knockdown, shield use, berserking, clubbing someone's head (forgot the skill name lol) pirouette strike (which needs a serious buff btw), stone skin:
Strength (10% of strength added to bonuses. Say I have 100 strength and my strong hand is at 100%, I get 110% damage/bonus for strong hand.)
Code:
All bow skills, death strike, dual wielding, defensive combat, dirty fighting, lockpicking:
Dexterity (10%)
Code:
And vitality gets skills like balance, alchemy, horse riding, sneaking, swimming etc. etc. which ALSO get a 10% effectivity boost related to your vitality stats.
This might prove very very hard to do, and I'm almost 100% sure noone will want to do it... but hey a man can hope right? ;p

Re: Two World Wish list.

Xbox 360 player here. I think this game needs more of the same weapons/armor more often. For example, I am into creating themed characters. I had my heart set on making a gladiator-themed "myrmillo" character (gladiators being the historical figures...not the Russle Crow movie, which seemed to have no myrmillos). The perfect sword for this character is the "Barbarian's Beauty" short sword, which looks exactly like a roman gladius. However, after picking up three and stacking them, I never saw one again since the weapons kept leveling up.

I think it would be a bad idea to have enemies drop the same stuff over and over, so I'm not advocating that, but perhaps some setup where a merchant is always guaranteed to have at least one of the type of gear you possess everytime his inventory randomizes. That way you could periodically stop by merchants to upgrade your weapons/armor.

Another thing that I would like is a quest editor for MP. If the quests are restricted to "collect this" and "kill that", it would seem a small matter to allow people to enter their own text and some limited triggers to make for a more flavorful experience. For example, in one MP round a person might need to collect whiskey (why is it out in the middle of a glacier?) and kill a wood golem. User-scripts could make this into a more corellated set of events -- We could write small scripts so that you have to kill undead in one task, then collect some relic to stop the evil necromancer from summoning more....not that there would be an evil necromancer necessarily (though that could be another simple scripted quest), but those two tasks are better connected than golems and whiskey.

Also, why not a "Dungeon Master" mode where a multiplayer host could control monster distributions and guide the quests? To keep it from being mundane, start with the standard monster distribution, but allow a person to be in control of dropping more monsters and quest-givers into the map (as well as removing them) as necessary?

My two cents. Don't spend them all in one place.

I only have two things I can think of:
1. The ability to turn off your guy's narration of everything.
2. The ability to become a werewolf in the game.

Yeah, the narration is pretty stupid, should either be improved or scrapped.

I don't understand why people want werewolves though... I would prefer a vampire, but I don't really want one.

Re: Two World Wish list.

For me the biggest weakness of TW is the passive component of combat, specifically, automatic blocking. I would prefer combat that is challenging and involving, and much prefer the manual blocking of other games in the genre.

Sure, make plenty of stuff in games automatic and passive - otherwise an action RPG can be bogged down so much that it makes it less fun (we wouldn't enjoy tapping B to take a breath)... *but* blocking, a massive part of combat, when combat is the principle mode of gameplay? No!!! Let the player control that shiny shield just as he/she gets to control the weapon in his/her other hand. It's an integral part of gameplay and deserves to be part of the interface between player and character as much as running and jumping and hacking.
