Re: PS3 Two Worlds?

As of now, you can rule out the PS3 in consideration of the game. This is because it is only announced for the Xbox 360 and PC at this time.

If the game sells very well (like Oblivion) they may port it. But at this time the PS3 is a very risky console to program for, as it is very expensive to develop games.

Re: PS3 Two Worlds?

Fat chance, the PS3 is one of the biggest screw-ups in console history. Well, not really, but it's still crap. The fact that it's hard and expensive to program for is it's biggest drawback, whilst the minimal extra power output for twice the price of a 360 is the second biggest.
Also, I'm not a 360 fanboy...well, maybe just a little bit...

Re: PS3 Two Worlds?

PS3= waste of money

Why would u pay 300 more $$ for a little bit better graphics in which most games the PS3 doesent even go up that high for but.... on the other hand it would be kinda neat to see what PS3 could do with Two Worlds....I dont imagine the graphics would be that much better anyway..

Re: PS3 Two Worlds?

This debate (if it can be called that) can go both ways, what is commonly misunderstood is that the PS3 is technically more of a computer than it is a console.

It has more 'power' than the 360, but Microsoft's console has more RAM which gives the console more balance between graphics and framerate (etc.)

But this is not a matter of raw power or allegiance, the matter of fact is that Two worlds will not see a PS3 release because the console (PS3) is unproven.

When (or if) Two worlds breaks all sorts of sales records, then we may see it on the PS3. It was announced in the beginning to be playable on the Xbox 360 and PC, Zuxxez wont make a seperate version for the PS3.

This is because the game was in development before PS3 Devkits were available, therefore it is somewhat impossible to assume the developers of Two worlds would want to make 3 versions of one game when considering the cost and time. The risk is too high.

If we do see it on the PS3, it will be a port. Personally, as i own a PC and an Xbox 360 i am beyond caring.

Re: PS3 Two Worlds?

I do agree with the staff member's comments, PS3 is an unproven console, sure they do have the brand name behind them, but how many are they going to sell in North America and Europe but the time March rolls around? Like a 1.5 million, while the 360 has hit or is about to hit 10 million sold around the worlds with most units being in places Two Worlds is going to release in. Plus 360 owners have always been more receptive to Western RPG's than Japanese RPG's from past sales statistics.

Re: PS3 Two Worlds?

It seems a PS3 version may be in the works:

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3156361

When i checked the Gamestop website the PS3 version was named Two worlds: The temptation, 1UP however seems to believe it was called 'The deception'.

This could be true or false, however the PS3 version that was once mentioned has since been removed from all the websites.

Until Topware/Zuxxez confirm it, these sources should not be trusted (the PS3 version was first shown on the gamestop website)

“we are currently thinking about the PS3-version, but there are no negotiations with SCE up to now. We have the dev kits available and currently checking what the hardware is able to do.”

Just a tip.

You should never rely on Gamestop for release dates. One of their business strategies is to decieve people into buying pre-orders. They do this to obtain the ability to sit on the money and collect interest before they have to pay a distributor for the game.

Because of that fact. Gamestop will ALWAYS have a release date for a game. Whether they made it up, are simply guessing, or it is official.

The only place you should ever rely on release date information from is a developers official website.

The listing was removed from the website immediatly as it gained exposure, the possibility is that Southpeak didn't want it as a registered game as it was unavailable at that time to commit to publishing a PS3 version.

Ok well the PS3 has more processing power but the 360 displays better Graphics meaning you get more detail on characters and world textures in the game overall 360 in my view is better and will be ahead of the PS3 until we see the next gen.
