Lightbulb Instructions: Mouse doesn't work properly

Hello Folks,

for all of you which encounter problems that the mouse doesn't work properly, try to do the following steps:

1.) Check if a Xbox360 Controller for Windows is connected to the PC -> unplug the controller + restart the game

2.) Navigate to the Options-Menu -> Interface -> deactivate the Hardware Cursor Option and save these change + restart the game

Hint: Navigation in he menu is possible even if the mouse-cursor isn't visible, the cursor is only on the background look if the fonts gets highlighted if you move the mouse in some directions!

3.) Please give us feedback if these steps won't work for you

Whoa! Can I kiss you, please?
Unplugging the controller worked like a charm.
I guess that answers my question about controller support...

Re: Instructions: Mouse doesn't work properly

Is there any setting to zoom the map in/out with the keyboard?

I play all my games on a Qosmio500 with a synaptics touchpad. - So no mousewheel...

"Mouseemu" does not work and navigation in the default zoomlevel can be annoying.....

Re: Instructions: Mouse doesn't work properly

According to the bumph on this page http://www.synaptics.com/solutions/products/touchpad the pad supports virtual scrolling isn't that configurable for zooming?

Talking AW: Re: Instructions: Mouse doesn't work properly

What it does is reserve a slight strip of the Pad at the bottom and the right. If you pull your finger down on the right, it will simulate the mousewheel in most applications. in TWII the cursor changes from the ingame-Cursor to the "Scrolling cursor" like in every other app. But the game itself does not recognize the Scrolling motion. I suppose TWII is bypassing the driver of the synaptics touchpad. I did try to switch the "use hardware cursor" on and off, but to no avail.
The available mouse-emulators all do not work I suppose for the forementionned reason.
So it is minute-long scrolling to visit the orcs from the south.......

Since it would not make reason to plug in an external Keyboard with a Scroll-Wheel, even less than an additional Mouse, I am waiting for some "Top-Ware fairy" to pop up and drop a plant of wisdom into my desert of ignorance....

Riferimento: Instructions: Mouse doesn't work properly

hi People :_)

my friend has this problem, unfortunately. The mouse does not work as expected, in the main screen and of course even in the game.

I have reccomended him to read your instructions but without success. He's also disabled the Hardware Cursor but... nothing of nothing.
I hope to receive more support for this annoyng problem :_(.

Thanks and good day to you people.

Oh well, neither "Autohotkey" nor "Keytweak" do work, so we know TWII is taking the input directly from the HAL, and not from the registry set values. Therefore mousewareemulation will be fruitless. So I politely ask developpers to implement keyboard zoom commands in the next bugfix (or some codingguru to tell me how to script this together)......

Oh well, I bought - one of those cabled little buggers. That is a MOUSE! (only feature of this darn piece of hitek-lump missing is a beer-opener, or a shaver, eventhough its name is "Razr"). Tried both for navigation and fighting. Then had a friend who uses but his mouse to play games have a try.
Summa Summarum: The pad is way faster but not as exact. Given the fact that my mose has a "Precision aiming"-button.
Conclusion: PLEASE do implement a Keyboard-Zoom function for the map, so i can sell this electrical rodent before its going to loose too much of its value......
