There are only 3 types of dragons , sand, stone and lava . However there is a young sand dragon kind thats been added in the patch a while back.
If you meant how many dragons are in numbers, there are more than 5 .

Well, I talked to the Dragon Whisperer and they killed the dragon. I dont really care that i didnt see it, Im just wondering if it was important that i killed him. The Dragon Whisperer said he swallowed a stone that made him powerful and i was wondering if it was one of the stones for the relic.
