CD-Action Portal previews TWII
Propheet is back to give us tid bits from another Polish Preview released from CD Action a Polish Portal.
Excerpt:
Quote:
- Orcs' camp is located far away from Gandohar's castle, on one of the Western isles.
- Some of the dungeons may be located beneath... termite hills!
- Before you get a boat and learn to sail, you can still travel between some of the isles. This is done aboard one of the regular galleons that travel on fixed routes. Does that mean interactive travel? Let's hope so

- Even though choices in reputation and giving guilds favors will alienate some of the factions or turn them against the player, there's still an option to live peacefully with all factions in Antaloor.
- First concise info on the spells' composition in DEMONS(tm) system. Base spell card will determine if its an AOE, missile or special effects spell, while modifier effector cards are added to the amulet to upgrade the spell to inflict specific type(s) of damage, tie-in to physics system (TWVault: i.e. knockback effect), multiplicate it (TWVault: e.g. for missile it's a hail of missiles, for AOE it transforms into wave/wall spell), or modify the way it affects friendlies (TWVault: heal others, yay!) or hostiles.
- Multiplayer infos just keep on coming: One separate toon is used for all 3 mp modes, namely co-op, village and PVP. PVP is done in a fair-play kinda way in at least 3 modes - deathmatch, team deathmatch and horse-races. No matter what happens in the PVP realm, your online character cannot be harmed permanently and there's no equipment damage or loss. (TWVault: Call it a care-bear PVP mode, if you will. It will be very hard to balance it out considering there's no real incentive to PVP except bragging rights; steal-disarming or sword breaking that added real risk to TWI arena play are gone...)
- Minimum requirements for the game on PCs, as we stated before, are only limited by processing power. For decent productivity you will need to have a multi-core processor, but it's enough to have 512 MB of RAM (as this is the minimum set by Xbox360, to which PC version is identical minimum specs-wise).
