1. I seem to have a problem with Giants ( Golems and other suff u meet )! I can take them down, but it takes a little time, and they can kill me with 1 hit, even though i have 3k life and a lot of def.! I'm level 37... Is this normal? ( BTW. I play with the 1.5 patch where the monsters er more tough! )
2. For u who have finished the game, what level where u?
3. When u play online, what levels are u and what's the level cap?
4. Is it normal that i damage like 2k with my weapons and magic?
1. I'm level 31 and those giants kill me with just one or two hits. But they move real slow so stick and move. Slash 'em a couple times, dodge their attack, and hit 'em with a spell.
2. I'm level 31 and I'm only 22 hours into the game so I've barely even scratched the surface of it.
3.I refuse to play games online because I'm a cheap bastard.
4.2k damage can be normal. Depends on the damage of your sword, plus passive combat skills, plus enhancements. Two Worlds is awesome because it lets you build super weapons that just slice through chickens and horses.
1. I kill giants, golem, cyclops, etc in about 10 hits. If you use spells especially in the Earth skill they can increase your defense and give you capapbilities of taking alot of damage
2. i'm level 52 and beat the game in 18 hours.
4. i do 20k damage with a sword + 5k spirit damage.
lol i`m stil a lvl 23 nooby and i have a little sabre that does around 700 damage.. and 1.5K spirit damage
lol yeah i made it a little overpowerd :P
but i only use it as a last choice
rofl you lot you caould use blunt weapons like hammers and add spirit damage thats whst i do i had this weak club its attack was 12-15 but i added tones of spirit magic gem enhancers now my club got 15k spirit damage.
its attack was 12-15 but i added tones of spirit magic gem enhancers now my club got 15k spirit damage
I find it hard to believe, seeing as gem saturation point for the lowest maces is way below 1000 even...
For proper gemming to get very high damage, see this guide: http://twoworldsvault.ign.com/View.p...s.Detail&id=26
BTW, Bigval, pls note the date on the original posts, this thread is old.
Profeet, I read your gemming guide with great interest.
1) I would like to use some of my gems early in the game just because I think it is fun. If I don't have as many gems when I find endgame weapons like black legion axe am I in trouble???
2) Say I find a cool sword for a level 15 character (or spear...whatever). Are your rules only for making uber weapons or will I get a better level 15 sword if I make 1 copy with a 10 20 and 50 gem and another copy with a 10 20 50 gem and merge them? Comparged to just merging 2 coppies and dropping in 16 tens or some random amount that adds to 160??
In other words are your procedures useful for making weapons that you will only use to help you in levels 15-20 or for that matter as in my case level 7-15.
3) I can't believe merging 50 copies of weapons! I have only even seen 50 copies of really trashy weapons that even merging 50 the weapon still is terrible by the time you get 50! In the single player wouldn't say 3 Exelsior swords be better than 50 Machete? And even if I found 50 Exelsior swords on sale wouldn't I be better off spending that money somewhere else, I mean round out other things that don't have diminishing returns?
In playing I am kind of a role player in the sense that I like to explore and interact, but of course I don't want to get stuck and frustrated. I am playing on hard now because each difficulty got pretty easy previously. Just got killed by 4 young groms so I might have to go back to medium haha.
1. BLBA isn't endgame, it's simply a very decent onehander, which is available in short level span, definitely before you hit the final battle. As soon as you see it at vendors, buy out all unenchanted copies.
2.Gems are wasted on anything then classtypes mentioned as examples in the text. So don't enchant anything before hitting late 20s, save them up, you'll definitely need them more then. If some weapon you find and gather 50 copies of fits the lowest classtype, go for it, exactly as guide states. If not, save gems for when you get such a weapon (lvl 34 is about the best level to get those funky maces, for instance).
3.Kill bandits, sell loot. You will be extremely rich in no time. Level 30 bandit camps can yield as much as 100.000 gold pieces after one battle. So just find the places for bandits (use maps provided on TWV, where you read the guide on gems) and try to grind them. BTW, you can lure them from their camps one by one, if u run away properly (i.e. kiting). You will most likely buy the maces/axes when you see them at vendors, and each costs around 1000-2000 gold pieces. This isn't much, the only problem you will have is space (use empty chests or horses) and waiting for vendors to reset their goods.
1) does it really matter how if you max the damage on hard sp? I mean can I still beat the game if I take your hints in mind but squader a few gems on the way.
2) can I use a class of gem (say fire since engame that is very resisted) and use those throught from level 2-however high I get? And just use those for fun so I can set things on fire
3) I played medium up to level 37. I didn't use any exploits like dropping gold and picking locks to avoid detection as I found that cheese city. I didn't steal because also not realistic to reload or cheese the system talking. I got in 37 levels hoarding spirit gems 12 20 percent 5 50 percent and 26 10 percent. This doesn't sound anything like in the guide. Also I did not have the money to buy 50 copies of great weapons. The best weapon I had was whistling death 10 copies and Elexorian 5 copies. I spent tons on set 342 armor and on air magic cards. (the air magic I think I can save on now because I know which spells are less useful). I still owned everything I fought when I was appropriately leveled.
4) Should I buy gems at vendors or is that overpriced?
5) What should I be spending money on in this game. If I had money I was spending it the last run through. I never collected more than 40 k.
6) Is there any guides existing telling what spells are best to use and how many copies of each card?
1. No, it's only done for your own feeling of power. Yes, you can kill a dragon easy at level 40-50, but what about instagibbing it with a powerful axe?
2.Any type of element can be used, but fire is about the least useful of all. Invest into poison if you want to still swing weapon a lot, or in spirit, if you prefer enemies to die brutally fast.
3. SO the question is....? I cant find it anywhere. I presume you mean how is it possible to have so many gems? The answer is still somewhere in the guide. No, it's not plausible to have such weapons made FULLY in SP, but YES it's entirely possible to make them in mP (where gem supply is infinite, just as weapon copies). For more-or-less high damage wep (say, first and second stage of gemming done only, i.e. up to 20-25k dmg) you can gather stones starting from level one and never putting them into any weapon. For instance, take all spirit gems u collect to storage and dont use them up, but use cold damage gems(only useless against some Golems, Giant Trachidi and Ice Skeletons, perfectly useful against every other enemy in game) on your weps in the meantime. Then you'll see that by level 45-50, when your most desired weaponry starts showing up a lot, you will have enough same element gems (spirit in our example) to start making such a weapon. Again, it's not about really making a huge difference in the endgame or before it, it's about being persistent and being able to proudly say: yes, with limited SP resources i have been able to produce the godly weapons. Finally, let's not forget - only spiritual gems can't be brewed, you will be able to produce some amount of gems via alchemy (see the guide).
4.Yes, buy them if you see them, that's the only other way to get gems in the game (apart from loot, brewing and stealing).
5.Weapon copies, once you decide what your endgame weapon will be. Spell cards, but only the rare cards if you see them. Potions, permanent potions (rare but seen at vendors), etc..
6.Not as such. But consult AEon's FAQ, with my comments regarding useful/useless spells and skills, and how many of one or the other should you have. AEon's FAQ is found on official TW forums.

/Dropsonic
Let's see.
1. Nearly all Giants have this thing called a "crushing attack" which does a LOT of damage. It's normal to get killed by those. You've just got to learn to dodge.
2. I was level 65 when I finished mine.
3. Well there are still characters online that were effected by the duped permanent potions thing. And most people just stack spells and weapons and are able to dish out huge damage, regardless of their levels.
4. At your level it's ok to do that much damage. Try to actually go after one weapon, combine it a lot, find good enchanted versions of it (and I mean player enchantments like adding to defense, don't go after ones with damage enchantments!), and save up a certain class of elemntal crystals for it. Then, when you feel comfortable with it's strength, enchant it with all the crystals you've been saving.
